Opal Akiyama - Mascot Version

Hello fellow nerds! Oh man it was a hassle drawing this picture. So basically, I put in three hours of work into this, and forgot to save it so when SAI crashed, I lost everything except the sketch (it was done on paper, thankfully). So it took me a couple of days before I decided to start over again, but I did it, and I love the result! 

So as some of you may already know, Opal Akiyama was first created as a Pokemon Adventures OC, with a pink and black color scheme rather than a blue and black one. However, this version of Opal is different. This version of Opal is specifically to be my art mascot, and so I altered her design a bit to separate her from the PokeSpe OC.

When I created Opal, she quickly became my favorite among any OC that I have ever drawn. She's also been a bit popular with my friends and followers, and some people have even asked for my permission to draw her (by the way, the answer is always yes, just please tag me so that I can see it). For these reasons, I find that she would be the best choice for my mascot!

I got a little bored while sketching, and thought it would be funny to give Opal a pen for a sword and a drawing tablet for a shield. Decided to roll with it.
